No Bake Oreo Cheesecake

HmmmM... I've not posted anything for sometime.. well made oreo cheesecake sometime back. Its my first attempt so does not look so professional hahaha. In terms of taste, I think it was not bad but there's room for more improvement. The recipe actually does not require the oreo base to be baked but ya itchy fingers ... i baked it so as a result it was quite hard. When i tried to cut, the base crumbled a lil. Guess I gotta learn from mistakes.

The Gorgeous Classic Cheesecake!

Simply Sinful!

O yes... I also baked Classic cheesecake yesterday with sil... I have always wanted to bake a cheesecake and finally I made it. The results were appealing. It was so creamy, rich and most of all scrumptious hahaha. O yummy.... this is what I can say!
I had to use sour cream for the cheesecake but I substitute it for yogurt mixed with 1tsp of lemon juice. If you can't find sour cream at yr local supermarket, you can use yogurt as well. So let me share with u the pics and recipe.

Here's the recipe for:

Classic Cheesecake

Ingredients: (20cm)

Biscuit base:
150g digestive biscuit crumbs
65g - 75g melted butter

Filling:
500g cream cheese at room temperature
100g sugar
3 eggs
1.5 tbsp cornstarch
220g sour cream ( I substitute it with yogurt with 1tsp lemon juice)
125g whipping cream
2 tbsp condensed milk
1 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp lemon rind
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:
1. Mix biscuit crumbs with melted butter. Toss biscuit crumbs into a lined 20cm cake pan and press firmly. Bake biscuit base at 160C for 12-13 minutes. Cool for use later.
2. Cream cheese with sugar till smooth and creamy.
3. Add in egg one at at time and beat till well blended.
4. Using low speed, beat in the sour cream, whipping cream, condensed milk, lemon rind, cornstarch, lemon juice and vanilla essence.
5. Pour cheese filling into biscuit base.
6. Bake at 175C - 180C for 50 - 60 minutes.
7. Put it outside to chill.
8.Chilled completely cooled cake in the fridge overnight before serving.

Marble cake

I love this marble cake...! Marble cake is actually just 1 portion plain butter cake and 1 portion chocolate cake. The taste of this cake was just nice.. not too sweet and not too dry.

Here's the recipe for:

Chocolate Marble cake:

175grams of unsalted butter
175grams of caster sugar
3 eggs beaten lightly
150grams self-raising flour
25-30grams cocoa powder

Method:

1. Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
2. Add in eggs little at a time.
3. After it is full incoperated, fold in the flour.
4. Then, spoon half the mixture into a separate mixing bowl.
5. Fold in the cocoa powder into one of the portion.
6. Place spoonfuls of each mixture alternately into the baking tin, then use a skewer to create the marble effect.
7. Bake for 35-40mins at 180 degrees.
